The Origin Story

Moist Mondays began in Newcastle with a few mates who loved the ocean, sunrises, and good conversations. There was no big plan, just a bunch of friends showing up to watch the sunrise, jump in the water, and start the week right.

Pretty soon, it became more than just the dips. It became a ritual, a reason to get up early, connect with our friends, and have those real, energising conversations that make Mondays something to look forward to.

We figured, this is so awesome, why not let other people join too!? So, we made an Instagram page to capture that feeling. We wanted to make it obvious that anyone could come. Zero barrier to entry, if you can wake up to your alarm, you’re in! That open, welcoming vibe is the core of Moist Mondays.
